It never rains but it pours when you’re a writer. Long periods of crying in the wilderness, just you and your antique typewriter working away, getting sand in the crevices and seeming to achieve not much else.
Then all the lines you’ve thrown out start to move.
This morning I found out that I’ve sold a story to Paula Guran for the new Prime Books anthology, Once Upon a Time: New Fairy Tales, to be published in October this year.
The story is called “Flight” and it’s a melding of traditional fairy tales (“The Raven” and “White Bride, Black Bride”) with something new.
