And this morning I woke up to …

…  to a LOT of emails telling me that Sourdough and Other Stories has been shortlisted for a World Fantasy Award for Best Collection.

Which was awesome, because look at the other folk in the category:

Best Collection

  • What I Didn’t See and Other Stories, Karen Joy Fowler (Small Beer)
  • The Ammonite Violin & Others, Caitlín R. Kiernan (Subterranean)
  • Holiday, M. Rickert (Golden Gryphon)
  • Sourdough and Other Stories, Angela Slatter (Tartarus)
  • The Third Bear, Jeff VanderMeer (Tachyon)

Also, very happy to see both Charles Tan and Alisa Krasnostein up for Special Award, Non-Professional!

The full list of nominations is here.

And now I should probably get something to eat, as in all the excitement I forgot to have breakfast. *Snoopy dancing*
