Lovely Review

… of Sourdough by Liz Grzyb over here.

Snippetry:
If you haven’t read any of Angela Slatter’s stories, you are truly missing out. Go out and find some immediately. I am a particular fan of Slatter’s fairytale-esque stories, like those found in Sourdough and her other 2010 collection, The Girl With No Hands. These stories read like a new Angela Carter – we are thrust into a fairytale world which bears little resemblance to that we explored as children. The stories in Sourdough are mostly linked by character and place, which helps the collection build and flow.
